DK61 and Lower manual

Can the DK61 be paired with the new 2026‑restyle Lower Manual? Yes, absolutely.

DK61 is a MIDI controller equipped with both a USB‑B port and a MIDI OUT port. Normally, you use one of these to connect it to your receiving device (computer, sound module, keyboard, etc.). The same is true for the new Lower Manual: it also provides a MIDI OUT port and a USB‑B port.

How to recreate the dual‑manual experience

To use DK61 together with the Lower Manual as a two‑manual organ:

  1. Connect both instruments to your receiving device (via USB, MIDI, or a combination of the two).

  2. Enable both inputs as MIDI sources.

  3. Assign the correct MIDI channels:

    • DK61 → Upper Manual channel

    • Lower Manual → Lower Manual channel

  4. Once channels are set correctly, you’re ready to play with a full dual‑manual setup.

Mechanical compatibility

The Lower Manual includes four alignment holes on its top panel, designed specifically for the Mojo61’s rubber bumpers. Since the DK61 has its bumpers in different positions, it cannot lock into those holes. However, the DK61 has almost the same footprint as the Mojo61, so the two instruments still sit together very well and form a comfortable, practical dual‑manual layout.
